OMG, yes its true 1 year ago today i had my last cancer stick and i am now with my buddies in the penthouse.
Im not saying it was easy, not in the beginning but i so wanted to stop that this time it worked. 1 year on and i am so much fitter and def a lot happier.
You see it can be done and for those peering in and just about to start, have faith in yourself. That was my 3rd attempt in 10 years and yes it worked for me. My Oct 2010 buddies have been there for me as has all the other member's both old and new and they have helped me through, so to all of you THANK YOU.
Heres to the 2nd year xx

Hey Hey
Well done Jo, no small accomplishment...I wish you all the best for the next year!!
Jo, I'm so pleased for you there are hardly words.
You've been terrific on this site, and your determination has been inspiring. You should really do something to celebrate this properly because it is a HUGE achievement.
Congratulations. See you in the penthouse in a couple of months!
Really pleased for you hun. I remember the first day you came on here and started the knitting craze lol. I am actually meeting with a lady on Saturday who is going to teach me to read knitting patterns as I have enough scarves to keep most of england warm so thought I should take it further. I might be able to knit some bits for baby then.
You are one of the people that made the Journey Enjoyable. Along with Snowy & Cap'n Crunch I hope they made it here, hopefully they will come back and let us know they did.
Mega Congrats on getting this one year out of the way...most excellent news
You'll happily find that life becomes much more rewarding without the smokes in it. And also for the no small pride you should have in yourself for doing this absolutely outstanding thing
Thank you everyone for all your kind words and replies, they truly mean a lot to me.
I am so appreciative of all the help and support that i have received form this forum over the last year and i will still be here for everyone else though when i can.
I never for one minute thought i would ever start smoking and end up doing so for 20 years and so now i am glad that i have stopped that nasty habit and moved on to a healthier lifestyle.
I know there will be newbies just starting out and wondering if it can be done and how will they cope etc but please believe in yourself as you can do this.
Thank you all my friends on here, i can def say without you all i dont think i could have done it xx
Congratulations Jo only now seeing this as I am not on here so often.
You truly deserve to be in the penthouse, always knew you would get there. You have helped so many people on the way including me, your such an inspiration.
