Week 3 and taking a risk.

Im really pleased to be here, but today I thought Im going to take a risk. So today I have decided to leave off my patch and see how long I can go without using it. I still have the lozenges but if I can get rid of the patches thats 21mg of nicotine I will no longer be having.

The safety net is that I still have them in a bag next to me so if I feel like crumbling I can stick one on in a flash.

Going to give it a go anyway.

Wish me luck!

lillie xx

OOOOhhhh, be careful Lillie.....

You've already had me worrying with your 'goodbye' thread today...:D

I'm on Champix so don't know much about patches but aren't you supposed to reduce the strength, rather than just cut them out all together ?

That's what puts me of NRT..... I'd feel like I was quitting twice, if you know what I mean ?

Anyway, whatever you decide GOOD LUCK and take care

(and don't post anymore scary thread title's ;) )

Good luck with this Lillie. You have done so well up till now, and if you are confident, then you are almost certainly right. And if you have an emergency one nearby, then as you say, you can sort it out before anything untoward happens.

Wow lillie,

That is brave, but you could get some nicotine withdrawals, so see them for what they are if they do happen. I know what you mean about wanting to get the nicotine out of your system cos I felt the same. But quitting cigs is the important thing, so do whatever you need to to get there.

Zoe

I think its good to try it Lillie. Trust your instincts. It might be just the right time.

And if not, no worries!

Hope you're enjoying week 3
