I'm a bit over excited today because a) the forum is back and b) I'M ON DAY 15!!! Honestly 15 days ago I thought I would kill someone or start smoking but look at me 'Mrs day 15' and everyone is still alive!
You will be all so proud, I went out with DH on Friday into pubs (I was dreading the social drinking part) and the first drink was hard (I always liked a ciggie when I sipped my first wine) but I calmed down and I was ok!!
DH and I are off to Manchester for a long week-end and I've asked for a non smoking apartment!! Going to see Green Day on Saturday as DH and I still think we are 22!! Down side though is I've moved from a size 10 to a 12 so I need more clothes (what the hell, I love shopping for clothes!!).
Anyway hope you are all good.

I can't quite believe it either...some part of me is dreading coming off the Champix as I think it's that that's keeping me so calm at the moment!
Have you noticed that smokers smell like dirty ashtrays now?
Some smells that were nice aren't quite so nice now?
And some smells just make you want to throw up!
I'm still waiting for the hacking cough to clear the lungs as well....have you got this yet?

Never had a cough when I smoked and don't have one now. I'm I just odd?? OMG did I smell that bad when I smoked?? Just could not stand the smell on Friday, however I did not like to see people smoking as the little monster inside was slightly envious (do you know what I mean).
However my skin looks brighter which I was surprised at and I can talk longer without sounding like an extra from the god father!!
I stayed in a hotel at the weekend with "no-smoking" signs plastered all over the room - 3 weeks ago that would've had me finding ingenious ways to cover up the smoke detector, but it really didn't bother me!
I went to a friend's wedding too - the groom lit up straight after (poor thing, he was nervous and couldn't have one first!) and I said "I'll join you!" and whipped out the inhalator!

Don't worry about coming off the Champix I also used it and had no problems stopping it in fact I stopped after 8 weeks as I kept forgetting to take it and never wanted to smoke again
As for the hacking cough we don't all have that I never did for 1

Well done, you're definitely over the hardest part now. You'll find that thinking about smoking becomes less frequent and very soon it seems like a distant memory that's unrelated to your life today.
Brilliant - it seems like no time since you were planning to quit and now you're well on your way.
Well I will be moving to week 4 tomorrow so I will wave you lot good bye!!
I had a great week-end (Green Day were just fantastic), we stayed at some very nice posh apartments and ate and drank way too much! However the no smoking lark was bloody hard and it was a huge test of strength which I managed to come through and I'm very proud of BUT it was still hard. We have another long week-end away in Liverpool in two weeks!! Oh dear.
On the up side, it was great not to be looking for somewhere to smoke all the time and I actually felt sorry for the smokers stood outside but I am telling you now if smoking was allowed in pubs I would have gone back to the dark side, so thank god it's banned.
