Ok, so I am trying AGAIN to quit smoking. I got the patch on and printed so much stuff to read and this time I am keeping a journal which I did that in the past for something else and it helped so why not with this. Today my mom is 70 so I thought this would be a good day to quit. She smoked 2-3 packs a day forever and quit at 50 and hasn't smoked since, so if she can do it I can too!
Just need LOTS of support and check ups to keep me on track.

This is a great place to find support. It really helps to post here, and also to support other people. More than once I've found myself teetering on the brink of failiure during the early months of this quit, and I've always imagined an invisible army of people from the forum standing at my shoulder saying 'don't do it!'. The thought of coming on here and admitting I caved was so horrible, it often got me through another day!
Well done for quitting. Best decision everrrrrr. Keep going with the reading, it really helps to keep you focused. I really recommend woofmang.com/tales - very inspiring.
