if you are new or not this may help...im in my 3rd week and with all due respect i feel i havent been suffering as much as others...i guess im one of the lucky ones...or....i think part of it is not making a big deal out of it...dont tell people im quitting smoking...that is a nono...then you feel people have expectations of you...and you have more pressure. I am on day 18, still ok.., and i am not thinking "this is it i'm stopping smoking"....i see it as a challenge to myself...lets see how long i can last without a smoke...and if it goes on long enough then might as well not continue anymore...i didnt put down a date to stop it...a little unhealthy tip...get pissed one night, drink a lot, smoke a lot, and the next day you possibly wont feel like smoking...thats a start...and one more thing...talking from personal experience..dont stop smoking and get addicted to something else...use will power...best way..good luck everyone, BE STRONG, hopeully by the time you read this i will still not be smoking...lol

nice post...dont think luck comes into it imo. Seems that what you began to think about the not smoking for now is working. I agree with the not telling everyone, it works for some but can add more pressure to others... addicted to something else! hmmm haha dont want to think about anything else but quitting for now, good advice though!
I absolutely understand what you are saying...i have felt like that...crossed my mind loads of times..."its only a couple what harm can it do..."
I hope this is helpful, the approach I take at those moments is if I do have one (or two..) then I have spoilt it for myself and all the crap I have been through to reach this stage is for nothing....any good you do to urself while off it is immediately reversed the moment you have one again...
good luck, hopefully we wont be smoking next time we speak
