I hope you are all well. I am doing great - so good that I missed my 1 year!!!!! Can you believe it? I was so hooked and now it is like I never smoked
I am still in Oz - I have survived the floods, Cyclone Yasi and living without smokes - how cool is that?
Well done to everyone - whether 1 day or 1 year - you are all FANTASTIC and will not regret the choice you have made - not non smokers but smokers who choose not to smoke.

Just wanted to congratulate you on your full first year and managing to stay of off them during all that crappy weather etc that you have had to put up with recently.
Heres to the next 12 months and again a BIG WELL DONE from me.

Hi Jo
Thank you - this site was a great help for me and the posts of encouragement were just what I needed. How are you doing?
It is so encourging that someone could forget that they were coming up to a year (although am sure things down in oz have been a little hectic of late :))
You should be so very proud of yourself.
Have a good celebrations tonight to make up for missing the day itself
Great to see you back and marking your One Year Milestone, even belatedly
Huge congrats to you, what a great achievement
You've certainly had it all thrown at you this last few months. I hope all is settled now and calmer times can be enjoyed.
How did things work out for your Mum, Steph?
All the best to you and have a great 2nd year
Pol x
Hi Pol
Thank you for your best wishes and yes it was a little scary out here. Brisbane looks very different but is slowly getting back to normal. Mum came out to see us 3 weeks ago (amazing considering she is almost 77) but unfortunately she has started smoking again. When she was here she smoked very little and she says she is going to try and quit again so I am crossing everything

I think your Mum is amazing, even if she did begin to smoke again
That's some distance for her to travel to see you .... I'm sure there many tears, hugs and laughter .... and some smoke wafting
I'm good thanks, Steph. Approaching 17 months quit and rarely give smoking more than a passing flicker these days.
I guess you'll be back in the UK come your 18 months quit? Do drop in and update.
Well done you, so much to celebrate. A whole year is amazing and now a wonderful grandchild to look forward to. Wow, that's five generations in your family.
Massive Congratulations Steph, I think it was probably a lot more scary than you are letting on:eek: but one year is a cracking milestone and before you know it you will be back in the UK, bet you will miss the warm weather and having a beech nearby.
