daizy - my light headed spells peaked at around day 4 and disappeared very soon after, something to do with the oxygen levels hitting the brain ?
By 7 days it had cleared for me - which was handy because I too had banged into so many objects the bruises were mounting !
I never struggled so much with tiredness but I found I was wide awake at 3am which made the following day a struggle so I was naturally tired (and in bed) quite early - have to say even after 5 weeks I still wake up at strange hours.
The worst of it is defintely behind you, from here on in it gets easier, I wish you well.
thanks horse. Ive tried quitting quite alot of times but never felt this dizyness -pleased to hear it wont last too long
On patches i always find somewhere around day ten the toughest, but this time smoking is not an option
have a great day mate

Keep it up Daizy, you're doing fabbo!!! And the diziness will go away eventually, it's just your poor body trying to readjust after all the abuse it has had throughout your years as a smoker
hi daizy glad to see your still going strong day 4 for me too i dont know about the dizziness but i can relate to the tiredness ifind i cant fall asleep even though i take the patches off 1 hour before i go to bed and when i do go to sleep i have disturbing dreams.i spent yesterday walking around like a zombie that helped with quitting because i just couldnt be bothered im sure it will get better ihope you feel better soon good luck
Well done Daizy! Anything interesting going on with the patches today?
Day 4 Dizzy
Hi Daisy
I too am feeling like you on Day 4 - very light headed - finding it hard to concentrate and work today. Good to know from other comments that things get better from this day onwards.
I have just been out for a 10min walk, breathed in a lot of oxygen (went very dizzy) but I feel a lot better for it - good luck in your quitting - I try to think positive and every day say 10 times over to myself - I am not going to smoke again.
Cheryl
