Hi again. Just starting my third day today, yey. All is good so far. The only problem I am having now is coping with the mental aspect from my smoking habit. I seem to think to myself, 'I will have a smoke soon'. But then realizing that I have quit, haha. I think today might be harder than the previous two. But I guess It all about shacking off them mental urges. Just one quick question really about the patches. I have placed one on my upper right chest and I seem to be getting an on and off aching pain down my right arm. Just wondering if that is a normal side effect? Or should I take it off and move it some where else?
Keep up the good work everyone
Thanks
Jimmy

I know what you mean about those thoughts. They are annoying in the beginning, and sometimes I still get them after almost seven months, but I don't dwell on them, and they are not really cravings. Hopefully you can continue to dismiss them until they become less frequent.
As for the patch, it may be an idea to check with your doctor, as I don't think it is normal to get aches and pains just from wearing it. Otherwise for now you can always try putting it in a different location (read the instructions!) and seeing if that helps.

Hi jimmy...well done on your day 3
I have had that too with patches..like a muscley achey dead arm...type of thing! dont think is ought to worry about.
Congratulations on your quit Jimmy, your doing so well and sounding so positive.
I too quit using patches and found i had to apply them to the top of my thighs as when i stuck them to my tummy, arms, back etc...ANYWHERE above my waist, they kind of made that area feel dead but also sometimes they make the area itch.
It seems its just another hurdle of us to overcome to become non-smokers. This nicotine chap doesn't make it easy for us does he?
