Patches

Hi all,

I have been stopped well over three months now ,last week my patches was cut down to 15 mg ,I started having symptoms with them like i did with the 25 mg ,should i stop them all together now as I do not seem to want a smoke at all without a patch on what shall i do ,feeling run down full of spots ,bad headaches ,no coughthing at all in these months.

You didn't say what the symptoms you are experiencing are and have you tried to go without the patches already?

Are you saying you have been on 25mg patches for over three months??! I thought they were just for the first week as that is a very stroang dosage and more likely; more than most smokers take in a daily basis.

I thought the way to use them over the 3 month period was the 25mg patches are used for the first week if needed i.e. for heavey smokers, then its the 15mg patches for 8 weeks, then 10mg for 2 weeks then finally 5mg patches for 2 weeks, then stop nicotine. After being on a strong dose for so long you should defo cut down gradually using this method.
