Into my 9th week now so I guess that is my 3rd month!
Had to do a quick reckon up on the calendar as remarkably I've stopped counting the days off!
So glad to have got this far. Those first few days of crossing off every minute, hour and day are not to be repeated.Too painful!
Although if truth be told, despite my cravings being alot less, that feeling of wanting to smoke has still not left me! Not a craving, not a burning desire as such but never the less it's a feeling that is most definitely there. Also the thought of NEVER smoking ever again scares me witless even after not smoking for all this time. Weird I know.
Not sure if this is how it will be. Maybe this is how you feel forever! Maybe this is life as an ex smoker, bit like a recovering alcoholic. You can't just have 'the one', but you're always thinking of 'the one'!!!

Firstly well done on getting to 9 weeks that is a massive achievement
Secondly, don't worry about thinking about smoking. You won't think about it forever. It may seem like it now but I promise you do stop. Look at it this way. Smoking was a massive part of your everyday life for years, probaly 20 times in one day. It takes a while to let go of that type of constant routine but you will let it go. One day you'll get to lunch time and think wow I haven't thought of smoking yet, and the only reason I am thinking of it now is cos I realised I hadn't thought about it.
I am just under 7 months in and apart from when I come on here or I am actively talking to someone about my quit I rarely think of smoking.
Give yourself a huge pat on the back for the 9 weeks you have achieved. Don't try to look at never smoking again, just look at not smoking right now, keep doing that and the rest can take care of itself
