oral surgery :(: well fellow quitters...i am... - No Smoking Day
oral surgery :(
Hi IAQ! Don't worry, the thought will leave your brain at some stage... I still get the 'Ooo, they sell my cigarettes here' suprise when I see my packet (not sold everywhere) but then I'm happy I don't feel the compulsion to fork out some cash just cos I saw a 'pretty box'
I would say have fun in oral surgery... but good luck is maybe better?
Oral surgery? I'd rather eat my own teeth! Good luck. Sure not smoking is a massive advantage, you should feel proud of yourself!

Ha ... the things I've heard you say you'd rather eat!! No wonder you end up with a bad gut.
All the best IAQ
Hope all goes well with the surgery and your soon out the chair feeling great and happy with work done.
ooh poor you, I hate the dentist.
Do hope it's one OK and that you're not in too much pain now.
Dentist
Cheer up! 'Least the choppers will stay gleaming now - no fag smoke and all that! When I've gone six weeks, I'm going to book in for a scrape 'n' polish - worth doing, without the fags. Not worth it before - 20+ high tar a day kill that white smile in no time, no matter how you scrub 'em!
Oh good luck, I rather go for surgery than have dental work done - lame and sad I know but I am terrified.
It was my dentist who prompted my quit, kept telling me I would lose my teeth at least 10 years before I should because of bone loss. This is a woman who spends £150 on a toothbrush !!!! I was horrified, then I had to have a wisdom tooth pulled:mad: That was it, the thought of having them all pulled out urgh
So thanks to my dentist here I am
You are going to heal so much better than a smoker x
Oh, poor you. Big huge scrummilicious positive thoughts coming your way.
Definitely easier and quicker to get over when not smoking though. I smoked once too soon after having a wisdom tooth pulled and got this thing called dry socket infection, which was unspeakable agony. Worse than childbirth! You can rest safe in the knowledge that this sort of thing won't happen to you, a non smoker!
Feel better soon xxxxx
thanks you everyone for your well wishes..i am in a bit of pain but i know it will get better....so its some pain meds, soup, the bed, and tv for me tonight! and yes it makes me feel so much better that i dont have to worry about not being able to smoke cuz I DONT SMOKE AND I DONT WANT TO!!!
