This is the first time I have felt like this since I picked up my first cigarette as a drunken 18 year old student.
It's nothing short of a miracle. I am very very happy.
Don't know if I'll still feel like this tomorrow, or even this afternoon. But right now... see there? See that? It's the light at the end of the tunnel that everyone keeps telling me about. It's very pretty.

Wowzer! That's amazing - I hope I can feel like that too soon! Although happy in my new found freedom, it doesn't feel 'me' yet - I still feel like a smoker in recovery. I guess I'm always going to feel a little bit like that, but it would be lovely to feel like a proper non-smoker! Congtratulations Hels!
Thats marvellous Helsbelles. What an incentive for you (and us) to keep going. I do hope it lasts and lasts for you.
Wish i could see it Helen but these damn Spec Saver sunglasses aren't letting too much light in yet
Its a wonder you could smoke at all Pete, I would have been worried about setting my face on fire everytime!! Still a good reason if you needed one to quit
Any how congrats Hels, hope I get where you are real soon!!

Nah,the guide dog used to light them for me..........although the sloppy butt ends were a bit off putting...........almost made me 'paws' for thought about quitting
