Congrats on taking the first steps and best of luck with the quit, i'm now 6 days in to mine and as hard as the first 3 days are I do feel a daily improvement and a slight reduction in the craves.
This site is a welcome relief and helps with both support and motivation.

Yes, this place does seem full of supportive people.
Hello Steve, welcome and congratulations on deciding to quit. Your plan sounds fab, baby steps are definitely the way to go - focus on small amounts of time, arm yourself with loads of distractions and kick that evil, stinky nicotine into touch! Look forward to hearing from you tomorrow
Welcome Steve you have made a great decision and brilliant plan wow. Look forward to following your journey x

Hi all, and -- really -- a million thanks for your messages of encouragement
What a wonderful place this is!
I'm in final 'getting my ducks in a row' phase right now...almost ready to pull the trigger.
Well done for taking the plunge and don't ever feel u have to apologise for not going CT, I have tried most methods and can say this quit I am using patches and it seems to be better, CT is really difficult for some including me, it's doesn't matter if you use NRT or not as long as u quit the dreaded weed so all the very best for tomorrow you'll be grand
