Now it is afternoon, hope you are feeling better. It does take a while for the memory of smoking to lessen, we smoked for so long and so often. I know a lot of people have posted that having a drink of alcohol starts up the want again, best to ease back on it for a while I think.

You are doing great, keep going and I promise you it will get better. Just think you are coming up to your first month next week, that's certainly worth a celebration.

Aint it crazy- I LOVE NOT SMOKING BUT I STILL GET THE ODD TOTALLY IRRATIONAL CRAVE. WHAT ON EARTH WOULD I GET FROM IT- NOTHING BUT WHAT PROMPTS IT?- WELL IT MAY BE DIFFERENT FOR EVERYONE, BUT I KNOW I START TO CRAVE WHEN IM TRYING MY BEST AND FEELING TAKEN FOR GRANTED. AND WHEN I FEEL REBELLIOUS- BEEN A REBEL ALL MY LIFE, AND ONLY NOW BEGINNING TO SEE THAT LITTLE LABEL IS A REALLY THIN EXCUSE FOR SOME APPALLING SELFISH BEHAVIOUR

Oh well I am trying.

Sorry about the caps- not shouting just technically challenged.

No actually you don’t feel like lighting up at all, your mind is playing tricks and making you think you do, a habit no matter what you have given up is hard to stop but with quitting smoking you have to keep reminding yourself why you chose to quit in the first place, you made an informed decision and it’s when the mind starts to forget that you need to give it a jog and think back to the day before you quit, write down the reasons and keep a copy in your pocket for every time you think it’s a good idea to smoke again pull it out and read and then come on here and read it on your threads, it isn’t I promise impossible and soon you want even consider it, the odd thought might be there but that’s all it will be a thought.

Hang in there it really is worth it if only to be able to breath easy for the rest of your life.
