so close to day 4 had a wobble this morning

am now up to 72 hours smoke free, I decided that counting the hours was better for me than days, I am impatient and that way i see the time passing quicker.

had a little wobble this morning, and nearly bought some with my last £3 till payday, but the shop was shut, and when i got to work i gave a colleague £2 to keep hold of whilst i went back to the shop for some biscuits.

I am prepared to do anything to Stop for good this time.

When does it get easier? :-(

  • Well done! The worst is nearly over now...all the nicotine is out of your body and the cravings are probably peaking just about now. As you have said, just take it an hour at a time. Reaching 72 hours (3 whole days!!!) is brilliant...just keep doing what you've been doing and it will get easier.

Give yourself a big pat on the back!

  • Huge well done on reaching 72 hours!!!

I'm at the same stage as you, day 4 for me and although its been hard, it's been a little easier than I imagined. I'm using 4mg gum which keeps the cravings at bay but I struggle with the mind games. One won't hurt etc....

Anyway, I'm staying string with you, we all have wobbles, we must have, it's a hard thing to do but the important thing is we don't give in and fight the wobbles!!

Stick with it, we can do this!!!;)

  • thanks, agree with you there louise, the mind games are the worst, thats what my wobble was about doesnt matter if i have one today as i am going to try and get some champix tomorrow.

But resisted. You are doing really well too, didnt find the gum worked for me, but the neither tdid the patches before, am now on another brand of patches and they seem to work a bit better.

Keep it up, We CAN do it!!!!!!

It does get easier but there will be ups and downs, however you are doing really well. Can I just remind you how much chocolate you can buy with £3.00!! or the Co-op has an offer on certain wines for £3.00. Much better way to spend your money:D

    Good luck

  • Hi Glass :)

Well done you 3 days done and nicotine free as well that's great keep going

For help with the mind games click the bottom link in my signature, scroll down and there's a bit there that I think will help you it certainly helped me a lot

It really will get easier very soon even if you don't notice it at first but there are no rules to this and no set times for anything as we're all different so of course are our quits

    Love

  • I was having a wobble too

I'm so glad you started this thread as I was in the same boat as you, I've had a hard morning and when I was in the corner shop to pick up milk and bread nearly asked for a pk of 10.

Not entirly sure what stopped me but the craving has passed (think it wasn't really there to begin with) and I'm feeling a lot happier with myself now that I didn't buy any.

    Good luck
