Well, not even thought about smoking these last couple of days, and enjoying the not drinking but I am just so tired. I thought not doing both would make me feel 17 again, I even had wheatabix with banana and yoghurt for breakfast in my quest to be good to myself zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
So very tired zzzzzzzzzzzz: Well, not even... - No Smoking Day
So very tired zzzzzzzzzzzz
By the way I don't know why I am still loitering around in week 3, this is what happens when I don't have James posting a day ahead of me....hope you are doing well James wherever and whenever you are....
...I have clearly just lost it completely.

Hi Zena
Tiredness will pass and you will feel fantastic hang in there James will be along soon to help you along ...you are doing brilliant and a few weeks down the line you will feel like a new person keep it going plus you get to give him an ear bashing for being late
The likelihood of me smoking is zero as is the likelihood of me moving before my husband gets back from London and makes me a cup of tea
...and I think I can forgive James considering he is on holiday with his family after being apart for a month, I can barely manage the two days.
Hi Zena, whats this you feel tired, well of course you do you lead a busy life you are a Mum you work, you are here there and every where so you are bound to be tired, you are probably not sleeping well either what with the quit and the heat, it is getting to every one and although I am not complaining I just love cool nights, you are also probably not drinking enough water or fluids and getting a bit deydrated into the bargain.
Your quit is going well as far as I can see and your cutting out the drink is helping yes.
James will be back soon and Im sure he will be proud to know you have kept your side of the bargain, so have a good weekend and relax and sleep patern will get back to normal soon, most of us suffered with a bit of insomnia at the begining.
Hey Zena,
Well there ya go, Jammie's explained the touchy feely reasons why you're feeling sleepy...and you know, she's right as usual.
But then there is the withdrawal from nicotine which is a stimulant and the resultant difficulties of either feeling tired all the time or conversely not being able to sleep at all. Your body is adjusting to the withdrawal of that stimulant and these few weeks will be distrupted as you've found.
Now, did that bore you into another power nap?
Oh, and drink more fluids and maybe get some more vitamen C into you too
Cav

See Zena how can you go wrong with Dr Jam and Psy Cav we have got you well looked after and before you know it you will be break dancing on the streets, so full of energy hubby will wonder what tornado has hit him xx
I know, thanks guys... not normally looked after like this, its usually me doing the looking after in the outside world.
What would us quitters do without cyber space I wonder xx
Hi Zena,
do not worry -you are not alone in the exhaustion feeling. lots of our fellow quitters have had the same I have read. just starting to come out of it myself. one day forward two back- but a step forward at least.
without this forum and going alone? -I would have felt bewildered and scared.
we are meant to feel fantastic??
but hang on -cos you will feel so much better soon . promise.
read the threads on vitamins -especially B -and magnesium . and water .
onwards and up Zena
i thought I was ill cos I felt so knackered - but you will pick up .

HI Zena......Sky is spot on......it is a phase of the quit Hun and it does get better I promise and most go on to sleep better than before.
Each day is a day you never have to repeat and a day closer to your freedom..
stay strong.....xxxxxx
Thanks again for the advice everyone...I managed to get off my bum and get to the kitchen to fill up on water and grab a plate of blueberries… it was a treacherous journey… I had flights of stairs and dangerously placed toys to negotiate but I made it and the berries and water have most definitely helped.
Sorry for the dramatics but I have spent the day comparing the rules of two almost identical pension schemes ….life doesn't get more exciting than this
Hi Zena,
I too have been down this road, very recently....could sleep for England!! Have taken the advice on here and started to drink more and now am taking B12 as a supplement (although not been on this very long)...I do feel a bit better I have to say.
I go straight to sleep when I get in bed and sleep right through....do not feel quite so bad during the day, so maybe I am starting to come out of this phase.
It's so worth chatting to everyone on here, they are a fantastic bunch and all so supportive. You know you are not alone, we are all going through these phases just at different times, which is good, cos we can all pass on our words of wisdom!! x
Excellent
Loads of superb and focussed advice which is exactly what this forum needs to produce since a gap appeared with Jase's retirement. Lets hope that we can all keep this up. Instead of the silly trolling point scoring posts that intermittently appear.
Well I am just sat here drinking a glass of the most expensive bottle of sparking mineral water that money can buy (in Asda) I am just feeling so damn sophisticated right now:cool:

haha - put a splash of ribena in it - it's almost like pink bubbly then - I'm on my second glass
The sleep pattern is really helped by having someone nice to cuddle up to I admit my sleep took a while to settle down, these days i sleep beautifully when i finally allow myself to switch off. Give it time while your body adjusts to it's new oxygen levels etc, It's all recovering!
