hi wendyann xx i started on 14mg & doing it for 8 weeks then dropping for last 4 weeks see how i go xx no rules xx .....not actually dropped on this quit yet xx But in previous attempt did dropping strength thing..for me personally i felt it a little ..it was just a little moody for a few days .... the adjustment thing ..but nowhere near like early days wen u first quit n go from smoking to patch.........some people dont feel it at all ..u will be fine.....Jase N david used patches ....jase will give a better explaination then me..he good at all that xx dont think david felt it at all xx

xxxxxxxxxxxi can understanf the apprehension ....but its not that badxx

i remember asking a smoking nurse about this on last quit..i was so stressing over it ..........she said it will be there only if you look for it xx makes sense now..it didnt then xx hope ive helped babe xxx

Its not as hard as you think dropping down the patch strength.. you have about 3 days where your craves seem a little stonger than normal, but this is only while you are adjusting to the new dosage patch.

I made a point of carrying 1 extra patch of the current strength patch i was wearing that day just in case,, and i was going to cut one in half or quarters to add to the existing patch, but the reality was i got through the days just fine and ended up not using the spare.

Its a confidence thing really tho aint it? You just have to realise that the real reason why you are doing well with patches is because as a quit aid it works for you. its you doing the work with the quitting though, the patches just help.

I think the one and only time you need to put needed extra-effort in is when you come off the patches at the end of the course. Alot of folk worry about this, and tbh, i did for a bit too, but when i got to the day of wearing no patches, i seemed to be fine.. and the following day too.. the 3rd n 4th day were a bit like the first early days of quitting as far as i experienced.. the cravings were more intense but i felt alot more in control and 'practiced' on how to deal with them.

After that.. its freedom all the way and you just don't look back.
