Just keep posting and keep being a non-smoker and you'll be fine :D. It's that easy!!! :D (we wish!). You'll get all the support you need from this forum. I found it a lifeline in the first couple of weeks. Congratulations on quitting.

hi and welcome, if it is support you need well you have come to the right place. people will be along later with links on their sigs i would suggest you read, read and then read some more.

don't know how old you are, how long you have smoked, how many, etc etc but what i can tell you is that each quit is different, do what you have to do to get through the first week and then see the difference.

come along here to moan, shout, complain, or share the good days, the "goodness i don't smell bad" days, the "didn't think about smoking today" days, we are all here to help and support.

Good luck, stay strong, and let us know how it is going.

Hi Carpenter :)

Well done deciding to stop smoking a massive decision in itself

Below is my standard welcome and advice post which I try and give all new members

Welcome to the forum and well done on the decision to quit possibly one of the most important you will ever make and you will be losing nothing but you will regain control of your life and that has to be good

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad

Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be

This link is good for the psychological part of quitting

whyquit.com/whyquit/A_Sympt...

Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK

Hi all,

I'm a mate of carpenter who started this thread.

We both started at the NHS clinic on the same day, we both chose champix and decided to quit on the 11th day which was yesterday.

So far so good and i feel great about not having had a fag since Sunday night. :D:D

Oh well, back to me oranges and bottle of water. :)

I'll keep you informed how it's going.
