My 2nd week (Lower patch dosage)

Ok so today was day 8. I was on the step 2 patches against my Quit Smoking Advisors advice, and its been too easy. Only needed 2 lozenges, one in the AM and one after work. :)

I'm not going to stampede onto the step 3's after this week though, I'll ride out the Step 2's for now and focus on trying to cut out the lozenges, then possibly move to step 3 in two weeks time.

Going well so far, much better than I ever imagined!

Bring on day 9! :D

  • well done 8 days already and on a lower does patch that's great

  • Well done Adrian.

I could never have started a quit on step 2 lozenges (I did try once) so good for you. Just take one day at a time & see how you feel. Don't run before you can walk though I got caught out like that ;)

Have a happy, smoke free day 9 :)

  • Thanks for the confidence boost.

I am surprised I'm doing this well but I do need to keep my willpower as there are times I think "I can't be bothered anymore, lets have a fag."

Gained some weight due to my increased appetite and working out though so definitely continuing my quit and hoping not smoking will be the norm for me as long as I live. :D

Keep that in mind. :D Exercise is great for the mind and soul.

  • Going for a tour round my local Bannatynes (gym) tomorrow.

Getting fit should provide me with another excuse to keep at my quit.

So far so good, recieved lots of encouragement from non-smokers and an ex-smoker (he quit with Champix) from work.

The smokers just sat there wheezing and saying nothing :p
