Day 3 of actual quit

Well it's now my 3rd day of my quit should of been day 6 but i had a few puffs on Sunday night, stupid moment of weekness, but in a silly way it's what i will remember if i'm tempted again, how ashamed i was and how awful it tasted.

So how am i feeling, well i'm not sleeping too good, feel sick in the morning, but i put both of them down to champix, today i've started with a horrible uncomfortable burning sensation in the back of my throat it's not painful just annoying, other than that i feel great, don't get any cravings, get the odd thought of a cig, but as quick as the thought enters my head it's gone again.

Anyway i just thought i would share how i'm doing with you all.:):)

    Nice one Hev

You seem to be doing really well...I remember day 3 being a funny one and felt a bit off... My day 13 today and feel good. Yesterday I felt rubbish. It's a bit up and down. But we are aiming to get our lives back and when I look at it like that it's not much to suffer. If I ever struggle to sleep I have head phones and a relaxation hypnotherapy cd that does the trick every time. Best nights sleep I ever had. I put it on just for fun to zone out and get totally relaxed...Highly recommended. Also doing excercise. Played tennis on Sunday and you couldn't have kept me awake past 8pm.

Keep going...Keep posting...you'll be on day 6 in no time:rolleyes:

  • Well done hev!!! Day 3 will soon become day 6.

Keep focused, stay strong. Things do get better. They really do - I cant emphasise that enough. Not clean sailing all the way - but better. :)

And well done defrog. Day 13. Unlucky for some. But not you. Feels great doesnt it!! A day 15'er here, and there is no way I'm going back to the way it was.

    Good luck to you both.

Hi, good job being so committed to the quit. I too am on champix and one of the great things is not having cravings because of the way champix works on the receptors.

Anyhow, wanted to say, keep going, but don't forget to mention any symptoms to your gp or stop smoking counselor when you meet. Feeling a bit nauseas for a few minutes after taking the pill is normal, however the burning at the throat is not something I've heard of, so always mention these things. I was told not to take any symptoms for granted and say they must be champix.

Keep up tje good work and as long as champix is agreeing with you it is a great help. I'm into week 3 now and never thought I would last one day. :)
