Its 24th Day and Devil is always saying in my ears "Its easy to quit so you can enjoy smoking for some more time.... Quit after 6 months"
have been smoke free from past 24 days... went out and boozed with friends and even went out with the people who smoke and stood their till the time they finished their cigarettes  still din't took even 1 puff feeling proud and free from nicotine trap... now urge to smoke comes only once or twice a day but O boy they make my head go round i have thoughts like this is not right time to quit..... Its been only 7 years people die if they smoke for more than 15 yrs etc etc...... It is getting very difficult to sustain this....

24 days, 24 days!! That is fantastic, don't give in now my love. Seriously think of the money, do you want to go back to shelling out £6.00 a day to smell bad and to put you in an early grave, do you???
Stick with it, it will get better. Go and eat chocolate, go NOW!!

You are doing great...honestly, great.
Imagine that you managed to stay with your buddies whilst they smoked and you'd been drinking too. That's amazing...and you must have had to really keep yourself in check. That's what you should keep doing and reinforce a new mindset. Just keep repeating whatever it is that you say to yourself to stay off the cigs and eventually it becomes second nature and supplants the thoughts of poisoning yourself with nicotene.
One person who posted here...I don't normally go for scary postings....he smoked for less that 7 years. Problem was that it got to him faster than we normally are used to. He posted some sobering stuff and sadly will have passed on by now. Forget your 7 years/ 15 years stuff. I got away with 31 years...it could've been different.
Keep up your quit you are doing the right thing. Cav is right when he says trouble can start at any time, I am living (still thankfully) proof of that I got the lung disease and it didn't take very long from diagnosis to now.
24 days is great but soory the devil is on your shouldr just now
Keep doing what you've been doing that Nico:eek:Demon is getting desperate and trying to lure you back ignore him and he'll go away Promise
