The Devils Been On My shoulder

As the title says today has not been easy staying away from the smokes. Its literally been like the devil sitting on my shoulder whispering 'have a smoke, one wont matter' all day

But i have managed so far and am still confident , its deffo a mental addiction for me i have not had any cravings that i have noticed its thinking about having a smoke thats doing it.

So i had a plan today i bought a packet of boiled sweets, chewing gum, tic-tacs, and made sure i didnt take enough money for a pack of fags out with me.

I also didnt bother wearing the patch today it just doesnt seem like i need it however i have been using the inhaler regular, which jas been working fine.

I remember that feeling well!!

Stay strong its so worth it in the end.

Remember to read up on nicotine addiction at whyquit and get some inspiration for the tales at woofmang (links in my sig) if nothing else it will prove a good distraction.

The 1st few days are the worst so well done and no need to repeat them ever again!

hi, want a freshstart i no what you mean i been having that feeling something nagging away at me all day to have a cig,we just need to stay strong im on day 3 to,hopefully be better tommorrow.

you are doing realy well and no patches, i still need my patch.

Hi all,

My quit day was 21st May and for the first few days I had one cig in the evening. I am now on day 3 of none at all and am doing ok but really relate to the devil on my shoulder! I have an internal battle going on in my head and it is realy odd but I am determined to do it. Day 3 is easier than day 2 so hopefully it will carry on like this.

I have smoked 15-20 for 20 years and have wanted to stop for a long time. 5previous quit attempts but for some reason I feel much stronger this time. This forum is really helping and I am so glad I found it!
