Well that's good news...just keep on going. But, Jase don't get complacent about these things. I don't mean you gotta live your life scared of the future. Nah, it's not like that...just be aware that we still have to embed our non smoking psyche.

Keep on keepin' on :)

Thanks. Getting off the patches was easier than i expected, the first 3 or 4 days off them were exactly like the first 3-4 days of a quit and yeah day 3 was the worst.. day 4 similar.. but on the whole since then its been pretty good. Definitely feeling the benefit now.

I know some folk knock NRT saying 'but your still taking nicotine into your system', but i really do believe that if you are determined enough and you stick at what you are doing, you can acheive it.. it matters not if you are using patches, gum, cold-turkey, champix .. what matters.. is you. I really think if you join a forum like this, your chance of success will increase dramatically. Far, far better than going it alone with very little real encouragement. Nicotine is a devious drug, so the more words of reason and encouragement you get, the less a hold the voice of the addiction will have. You just have to listen to the right voice.

well done to you Jase. Its a good place to be. You seem to have the mental side cracked! Never let your guard down though!! I agree re the forum. It was the reason this quit stuck and I still read posts and links on the very occasional days I hit a crave.
