thanks jamie, yeah i smoked one, a malboro red and volleyed the rest of the pack and my lighter away in disgust, god knows what people thought when they saw me! lol. Im in south korea teaching for a year and it's so cheap to smoke, ive been on 50 a day, its making me so bad tempered its just not me. i have stayed in deliberately on a saturday night to keep temptation away! lol for all the good its done me. I appreciate your reply and hope this is a minor glitch. Cheers
Glad to hear you threw them out! I know what you mean about this easy Allen Carr business.... for some it truly is (my ex being one of them) but for many it's not...... I think it is because the book itself can be very convincing and hypnotic.... if you REALLY believe what he says then it will be easy.... for me I doubted, got scared, felt awful, etc. The book was simply not enough for me..... I had to 'read' myself through craves, support others, and through daily repetition it finally stuck.... if you keep saying how great it is to be a non-smoker, how there is nothing to lose and everything to gain, it will stick at some point. Just really throw yourself into it, read up on all the suggested sites..... in time your thoughts will turn and become thoughts that will make your quit a successful one! Good luck.
hmm...cheap fags a:rolleyes:
one more tip is to avoid all stressful situations if possible.
good luck with you road to freedom mate!
Thanks for the replies. The allen car method does seem to work for many but it clearly is not as simple as he would like to make out, i believe for him it was a case of the straw that broke the camels back, some people just reach a certain point with something and then its easy to change their behaviour, like a subconscious reaction. However, to make a conscious decision to alter some hard wired behaviour is never going to be easy.
Well done
Hi
I am with jamiestars on this one i would have smoked the whole lot. I have quit with easyway as well, and ur right it is not that easy for me either, however i reach weeks tomorrow so there must be something in it. i would recommend keep busy and read some of the links, also i have to confess at your stage i was going to bed really early just to stop thinking about cigs.
you have not failed, just don't have the next cig, keep up the good work.

You will find all the help and support you need on here as we all help each other just like a family we are here for you every step of the way cheering the good days and sympathiseing with the bad but the good far outweigh the bad
Read the posts on here you will find a lot of tips and advice and in the signatures of a lot you will find links to other sites just click on them Here are 2 I find very good to start you off whyquit.com and woofmang.com Read, read and then read some more as the more you read and learn about why you smoked and about your addiction the easier your quit will be
Sorry you caved after 7 days but a massive well done chucking a full pack minus one
I agree it's not easy but so worth doing or as the old saying goes no pain no gain
Don't beat yourself up over this just dust yourself down and start again I had loads of failed quits along the way but this one stuck for me and you haven't failed until you stop trying to quit and just carry on smoking
Post often to let us know how you're doing, to rant, rave have a moan whatever you like pretty much anything goes on here OK
Best Wishes
