In an effort to lighten the mood a little i hit upon the idea of listing the people who love or hate us because of our quits, its meant to be a little light hearted but get heavy if you wish ive chucked a few obvious ones in just to get started..........

LOVE

parents, kids, air freshner maufacturers (no point having them before the house smelt of fags) fellow commutors, the NHS, ME....

HATE

Gordon Brown (HUH i hear you say. think TAX folks), smoking friends, fag machine topper uppers, fag outlets in general, umbrella manufacturers, bic.........

I was the kind of smoker that when I went into the store there would be two packs of my brand of cigars on the counter. When I told the owner I had quit smoking his jaw dropped and he said that he would have to stop ordering my brand. Soooo.....Store owners.

people who used to just bum one or two a night off you. man i used to secretly hate those guys. not cos i resented the loss of a few cigs but the self control!

Coffee kiosks. The number of times I've run outside somewhere (usually an airport) to have an expresso with a cigarette - then same again - then same again until the last call for my flight.

They must have lost a fortune in expresso sales.

nah, you were a 20+ a day smoker, i'm talking about the people who only smoked 2 or 3 a week so thought it was ok to just smoke everyone elses cos they "didnt really smoke"!. It was the self control to be able to on have 3 a week which used to make me feel ashamed of my 30 a day habit.

Where I would love to join in, I cant as I do not want to lose the friendships of this board!! How can you love ALL parents AND all children???
