Yep, i too am on champix and was due to stop on 11 march, however ran out of tobacco on day nine and thought 'WHY NOT' ... and here i am on day three..
I use a tip i found on forum.. 'no way out'. . when , about four or five times a day , those little suckers rear their ugly head...
my mind just snaps them shut with ... i will give myself "NO WAY OUT" to use them again... EVER..
it really is a buzz to beat the little suckers isn't it..
i have never considered it was my need to suck them.. you know that hand to mouth thing... for me it was my time out... now i take time out without the cigarettes.. and no more sucking , puffing and blowing out required...
i have given myself permission to take time out.. the cigarette is no more an excuse to take time out...
Its great to meet others in a similar points in time .. and many thanks for your posts which are giving me a spur to keep on going..
cheers jane

Good to hear from you and on day 3 well done after running out of tobscco you sound really positive about this and glad you're not having a problem fighting the craves
Hi Jane, Well done on day 3 and your great attitude. Sounds like your head's in the right place to stop.
I used cigs to have a break and to relax, they were my little rewards.
At first it felt strange to sit down and not do anything. Then I remembered that I used to sew alot. So I sit down with a coffee and a sewing project now. I am making a realy lovely toilet roll holder of all things. I'm proud of it and every time I look at it, it will remind me of all the wasted time I have spent smoking.
I've never thought of telling myself NO WAY OUT so thanks, I'm going to say that to myself everytime i hear those nico:eek:deemons telling me that I used to enjoy it.
