It's the start of day four and I can honestly say..........In all my previous quit attempts (even my six month quit) I never felt as good as I do this time.
Does that mean I'm really ready to say goodbye to cigs for ever?? I HOPE SO.
I know I could be just round the corner from a bad day, or start to feel crap, but so far so good. I prefer to think it's cos I REALLY NEVER WANT TO SMOKE AGAIN.
I said yesterday about not wheezing and needing to use my inhaler, why did I kid myself for two years that it wasn't the smoking that was doing it?? Because I still wanted to smoke, that's why. Now, I'm no way in a position to brag yet, but anyone thinking of attempting a quit, I say........GO ON, YOU CAN DO IT.
And by the way.....This is THE BEST forum for help and encouragement.
Thanks everybody. Love J. x x x

So pleased you are doing so well. Day 4 is important cos the general agreement is that it gets easier after day 3. Brilliant that you have arrived at day 4 and feel so positive.
Every quit is different, we all have our own experiences. I found Day 2 and 3 quite easy - feelings of euphoria and happiness. Since then I have had good and bad times - but in many ways it has got harder and harder. Which sometimes seems a bit unfair!!!
But I know if I can get through one day at a time and not touch a single damned coffin nail, then gradually my quit will extend and get easier. But I'll never let my guard down.
All strength to you, I hope it stays fine for you, and you do look like you are not counting any chickens yet.
Thanks for the reply. Yep I know it's one day at a time, but it's for the rest of my life. You hang in there too, its gonna be the best thing we ever do.
Anyway...I'm off to the gym for an hour, have a good day Deke. L:Dove J.x
Why not? You have broken free of an addiction that kills 2000 every week in the UK. What better reason to brag? Stay free, and keep feeling superior.... brag forever!
but anyone thinking of attempting a quit, I say........GO ON, YOU CAN DO IT.
I said in another thread how my son txt me yesterday to tell me " I'm so proud of you Mum ". Made me feel brilliant. Love J.x
That looks like me and your son have something other than a name in common... I am also very proud of my Mum (MargaretH - also on here and just past 19 weeks quit).
WTS... Congrats x I love hear people on here when they are having a good day :D... lets all of us hope that life will just get better and better and better!!! AND IT WILL!!! Good on ya hun x
I think the other Mum should get in one this party and J I'm sure you're as proud of your Stuart as I am of mine
As Stuart says you have every right to Brag you're doing great and of course anyone can do it They just have to want to like you, me and everyone else on this forum
Give Little Stuart a hug from me please and also one on it's way for you as well
Oh my god, now I have to be on my best behaviour knowing you are folowing me, ha ha.
I promise to be honest about everyday I am quit, good and bad. Well done you for deciding to quit again. I've had three or four attempts myself, best one was six months, so I've got a way to go yet. I'm sure we will both be happier and healthier for the decision to quit, and that has to be good.
Margareth, Ha ha ha, I had to laugh when you said give little Stuart a hug, he is 25yrs old and 6ft 4ins. But big or little I will always hug him. My sons and thier partners mean the world to me, and now that I have kicked the cigs,
Sorry I somehow imagined he was a little boy but being as he is big even more of him to hug HA HA and WOW a smoke free family, we're not quite that as my youngest is still puffing away for now, but he'll quit when he's ready as we did
Hey! It is no about braging, I think! I keep thinking the same, but then I say to may self I have the right to be happy and proud for my decision and for what is happening to me. And in order to succeed you do have to be positive! So enjoy your day and the next to come! Well done! It gets easier, even though not always is going to be as good as now! But an atitude like your is the secret!
