The cigarettes are now banished from the house, the car and the office. This time I'm going to do it. I've smoked at least 10 a day for over 10 years and I'm sick of it. I've tried to quit so many times - every NY's eve and some more! But this morning I chucked everything away and am so determined to stop for good. I've never used any of those patches or anything before but did think I should ask about them this time. Has anyone else used any of them? Are they worth it? Keep your fingers crossed for me!
Going, going, gone...: The cigarettes are now... - No Smoking Day
Going, going, gone...
Patches are pricey - but I got em cheap of a bloke down the estate. Although they gave me a right itchy rash. Might be a dodgy batch.
I got that too. I used the night patches and my wife made me stop because I kept fidgiting in bed.
Did you chuck em in then?
Not pricey in the longterm!
I got my patches on prescription from my doctor so they didn't cost much at all. I've only just started on them but so far so good!
My wife asked the chemist about it, and she got me to try lozenges instead. Seems to work ok.
Keep going!
I quit over 6 months ago and never thought I'd do it - I smoked 30 a day for 20 years and me and the wife quit in June and haven't looked back. I did use the gum for a while and that seemed to help - maybe it was just doing something else to take my mind of the cig or maybe it did help with the cravings, I don't know how it worked, but it seemed ot do the trcik for me - keep going!
Thanks guys - think I'll see what the pharmacist says. Seem to be getting on ok so far though
Some drink that makes the fags taste funny. Cheaper alternative - cherryade. Nice one
How're you getting on pastelfairy?
Good!
Day two going well so far - meeting some friends tongith but we're going to the cinema to see King Kong so no chance for a ciggie!
PS - Thanks Egg!
