Thats another smoking dream - 2 in 1 week. I'v never had these dreams, not even in my other quits - it's really annoying me and it's making me think that smoking is ok - I know it's not and I won't smoke but the thought is still there :( HELP!
another smoking dream: Thats another smoking... - No Smoking Day
another smoking dream
well, there you go then In other quits you never had them. But you went back on the smokes. Maybe its your mind finally accepting that this time you will never smoke again. Look at it in a positive light. I get them occasionaly. Bought a pack of ten the other night!
Hi Phil
2 in a week eh so maybe that's something else that goes in three's HAHA
But seriously maybe this is another way those Demons are getting at you if they can tempt you by day why not at night with dreams? Just a thought that maybe be worth considering
Stay strong Phil onwards and upwards

I agree with Fiona, I think its that this time your concious mind is more determined to succeed, and your subconscious mind is trying to cip away at your resolve through your dreams.
I wouldn't let it worry you, they are common, don't give them any more importance than you would to any other dream.
Had my first smoking dreams about a week ago, then had them about 3 nights in a row, it was odd though because I was smoking L & B, the wife's brand, and thinking, what would I give for a Regal, lol.
Had a wierd one there tonight, was watching a vid on you-tube of a scooter easter egg run from a year ago and there I was puffing on a fag - just seemed odd seeing myself smoking:confused: Here it is if you want a look, first dude you see from the back when it goes into video is me, puffing a fag:eek:
Smoking dream
Hi Philip
Strange I had had 2 smoking dreams this week. I had these dreams and woke up really disappointed I then could nt have a cig cos I have given up, But didnt last as I know am doing so well. I am on the patches and told it is very common with them, so be glad when am off them. cos dreams are odd
Well done for getting this far though
I dreamt last night that I bought a pack of ten (when drunk) and then woke up - with 9 left in the pack.
I felt SO disappointed.
Has reinforced why I don't want to EVER smoke again.
See it as a good thing, you are slowly getting rid of it from your system - your subconscious is probably one of the last places...
But anyway - keep strong!
Please Dont Use Nicotine Crutches
Dear Fellows,
Nightmares and smoking dreams are common when you quit smoking so
nothing at all to worry about. One very important thing to remember is
that while quitting you are actualy trying to eleminate your dependency
on a drug that you and your brain are used to have since a long time.
Inorder to do it correctly and completely you need to stop taking any
other form on Nicotine, be it gums, tablets, patches bla bla bla. Nicotine is
Nicotine and so are its bad effects on health so please stop taking nicotine
in other forms inorder to be an ex-smoker successfully
Best regards,

Hi HK
Thanks for that but I do think you could be preaching to the converted!!! No offence but some of us do need NRT and need to follow a programme of giving up. My attitude is I have abused my body for 20 years so another 12 weeks of NRT isnt going to do any more harm that hasnt already been done.

Your opinion on the use of NRT may be valid for some it is not for everybody the people who choose to use Nrt should not be considered any less capable to quit than anyone else. What ever works to help a person give up smoking is worth the effort.

As others have said here, you may not require NRT but some of us do, me and my hubby do and have found them invaluable, could not do it totally alone and as another person said they had smoked for 20 odd years, for me and OH it has been 40 odd years and yes a few more weeks will not do any harm, some doctors recommend it so that the come down is easier for some of us.
