I hiccuped at the weekend. I think everything just got on top of me and I smoked. I know this is no excuse and that having a cig does not change things but I did it.
Anyway, was determined to start again and so I am back on Day 2. Put another patch on yesterday and started my quit again. I actually feel pretty good at the moment. Some initial craves but nothing serious. However, I am keeping my guard up as I know the craves can creep up on you.
I bought a couple of new coats at the beginning of the year and I have only just started wearing one this week. It really feels good to put a coat on that doesn't stink of cigs. I'm wearing my other one on Thursday as my work colleagues and me are going down to London to say goodbye to some of our other work mates. Not back until Friday so won't be on here until then.
Frantically looking for work so that is keeping me busy as well.
All the best
Keep on keeping the faith everyone

was thinking about you the weekend. i know how hard it can be to get back on a roll after caving just take it a day at a time till you got some time under your belt again. jan you know you can beat this babes us super grans can do anything or so the kids think.xxxxx
So you had a blip but you picked yourself up, dusted yourself down and started again well done for that and learned a valuable lesson that smoking doesn't alter anything
Glad you feel good at the moment but you are right to be wary of those sneaky little b........d Nico :eek:Demons they creep up un-noticed and pounce
Jan, I caved too on day10.... ,lucky for me after 10 days it tasted like sh.. so it actually made me keep going stronger..... but the days following were harder because of the trip up I feel..... just know that. For you to be on here, it means like most smokers you WANT TO QUIT..... go day by day and keep going cause it sucks major to repeat the first few days..... if you are far along enough (more than a week??) you won't want to go back for the fear alone to have to start again You can do it.... we are here for you:)
Thanks guys. I just know I can do it this time and your comments have made me more determined than ever.
Linda - us supergrans can do this, as you say, grandkids know we can do anything (mine seem to think I have a money tree growing in my flat:D).
Thanks Bella and Trendy for the support and hugs.
Margaret - hanging in there, sometime by the skin of my teeth, but still there.
Had a few craves today but nothing major. Keeping busy with the run-off of our office so that helps at the moment and once this is all over I have plenty to do at home and also looking for work.
