Hi folks

A mate of mine is staying tonight because he needs somewhere to crash till his place is ready tomorrow,the trouble is he smokes I have told him he cant smoke in the flat but what is worrying me is am I strong enough to not ask for one because I know he would give me one.

this is the first time I have been this close to a smoker any ideas or hints to give me ???? :eek:

if you do-you will start smoking again, regret and probably be back on the forum in 6 months time on day 1!!!!

Be strong,pity your friend-hes an addict, who has to go out in the freezing cold to feed his addiction!!!

You, however, have choices, yo are not an addict and will be snug and warmxxxx

Just think how proud you will be tomorrow because you stayed strong. Also think how smelly his flat will be in a few weeks when yours is mice and fresh.xxxxx

Most of my mates smoke, it isn't easy but stick to your guns!!!!

You could make him see the error of his ways and make him stay smoke free all night, for his healths sake and to thank you for your hospitality - just a thought

yes I was strong enough thanks for your words of support,sorry I couldn't get back to you earlier been really busy and not had a chance to sit till now .

Sorry I forgot who said about the smell ? but he really did stink of fags I have changed the pillows and bedding and gone mad with air freshener and joss sticks,now I know how all you women can smell strange perfume in our flats or on our clothes ? having smoked since I was 14 I have never ,smelt things for what they really are,and it has really opened my eyes to smells and taste.
