On day 9 now, I can't really believe it because although I had many attempts to quit for varying lenghths of time I am sure that by now i would have had a few cheeky cigs and not counted them!
However this time i feel really good, I allowed my self the rule that I could do anything I wanted as long as I didn't smoke so I bought wine and chocolate, I went out, I treated myself every day ( put on a few pounds, then stopped feeling cravey so lost them again!)
I feel really good about this now, and have no need to smoke. Almost all the wierd spaced out feeling is gone now, so I can just get on with life as normal. Such a relief to be free of smoking, I installed a quitmeter and I would have smoked 282 ciggarettes in the time that I have quit:eek: How grose is that!!!
Good luck to all the other non-smokers today,
xx

As you have found the key is getting the situation straight in your own mind.
I Think, the reason you haven't had the odd one or two here and there is that you have "labelled" yourself as a non smoker in your own mind, rather than a smoker that has undertaken a great sacrifice!
If you can keep this attitude going then you are sorted!
Fantastic news - and your positive attitude is definately the way forward in my humble opinion.
Keep us all updated.
