Hi Denise- still here on Day 10!! - Went out with my friend last night after work- real test as she smokes, but she had to go outside once an hour and it was FREEZING!! Had my inhalator but might have had a bit too much as I feel a bit sick today so going without it tonight and possibly tomorrow. Soooo tired as been working as well today and visiting family- trying to stay out the house as that was my main smoking ground! Feels better today- glad you're cravings are less too.

It is Nic - wouldn't have done it without this forum- would have caved in at day 3 to 4 and definitely day 8.

Having got this far you have shown yourself how totally achievable the goal is.

You don't ever need to give in and you won't ever need to repeat that 1st awkward week! Ever!

Cheers

Nic

Well done to all of you, you are showing just how possible this is... OK, the first bit is quite hard but it really does get easier and easier.

I hardly have to think about it anymore.... honestly.

Today, I spent most of the day digging the garden (yes, it was frozen solid but we only moved in 4 months ago - garden was an absolute jungle - and if little one is going to have a garden to play in this summer I need to sort it out - and soon!). Bloody cold though, I actually had frost on my coat at one point!!!!

I would have been stopping every 20 minutes for a fag and a coffee - probably thinking I was about to die with a heart attack! It would have taken me a month of Sunday's! Struggling, out of breath - muscles hurting. Searing, throwing tools around, stressed and fed up.

But no, I worked for a good 2 hours and got about 75% of it done. No ill effects apart from feeling VERY cold. I quite enjoyed it. Tomorrow the rest. Then I get to lay a path and put some grass down when the weather gets better :D

It really does make that much difference, and I'm only 4 months in (well, I will be on Monday)!

Nah, it was pretty good - I never have liked sitting still!

Got a slightly stiff back, but nothing to worry about.

One of the main reasons for quitting was that I lost my Dad when I was 12. I am absolutely determined that I will live as long as possible to see my son grow up. get married, have kids, whatever he wants to do.

So, of course I am delighted to think that he will not remember. When I did smoke, he hated me keep disappearing outside for a fag in the middle of a game or something.

So did I, but of course back then I wasn't in control like I am now.
