Slightly struggling this morning....after being so happy that I have not wanted/needed/craved a fag over the past few days, I'm slightly disappointed that I do today - I know I shouldn't but I am! Lol.
The whole reason is because of the amount of snow that fell here overnight, it's not been too much but because everyone panics, traffic tails back for MILES!!!! The road I usually take to work was closed so had to take the main road, a journey that would normally take 30 mins max took me just under an hour. Was sitting in traffic and all I could see was everyone in their cars smoking around me, this is my biggest downfall, when I'm in traffic I need a fag....hence why I'm struggling this morning.
Sorry for the moan.....

You moan away, heck I have enough  - but the fab thing is you've gone through a tough test and you passed it!!
Being stuck in traffic is boring as heck and stressful so you should feel proud you got through it, esepcially when you an see so many people smoking
Am cutting down my NRT today so we can both crave together

It's more annoying because everyone panics with the snow and cannot drive....you'd think by now people would be used to it by now living in the NE of Scotland!
Think this is another reason to celebrate!! You made it through the cravings and now know you can do it again! I am guessing it was a combination of cravings but also irritation at the hopeless drivers in Scotland which was then magnified by cravings which were then further magnified by irritation etc!!
The great news is you didn't give in and now the cravings have gone again they will def keep getting shorter and shorter!
Think of the money you saved not buying fags today-double that amount-buy summat nice as a treat this week
Seriously, giving up is tough. Its hard to resist sometimes. But there are some very TOUGH people on this forum in this New years quitters list-tougher than nicotine-,you are one of them Babs. So well done for coming through that challenge, proud of you X
I plan on buying a new dress or nice shoes when I can! Think I deserve a treat!
I'm trying very hard, today is defo a trying day for me, I think its just one of those days!!

I'm surprised - I'm in Cornwall so we really aren't used to snow here, but I thought in Scotland you'd all be used to it!!

They should be....people just panic! It's a bit annoying. But not a lot you can do. I used to not like driving in it but now I realise you just have to deal with it. I've been driving for 7 years tomorrow.
I've no choice but to drive to my work as public transport where I stay (I'm not actually in Aberdeen) is so unreliable in the snow....my main road home got closed yesterday!!!

Hi Babs sorry to hear of the duff weather with you today, it hasn'r reached us southern softies here in Bristol yet.
I'm ok mostly in the mornings but had an awful crave when I got in from work today. Just getting through it now as I must get into week 2 with you , bossdean and tryingveryhard.
Go and buy that new dress and shoes you more than deserve it !!! Maybe a new handbag as well ? Only a small one as you don't need to have room for ciggies and a lighter etc !!

You should see it down here Babs, a few flakes and there's panic - and the news people all over the place like it's the end of the world!! I've been driving - oh eek - nearly 12 years now, and have driven through snow once.
Can't get into work when it's bad 'cos I live halfway up a hill that's never gritted and my work is in the middle of nowhere too
I hope you don't have too much trouble with the snow and good luck with the roads
