Found yesterday evening really tough and truth is if i'd had access to any cigs I would probably have given in but i've noticed that I'm only really tempted when i'm feeling nauseous which i'm putting down do the zyban. I know it is a symptom amd i did have it on day 2 of taking the zyban but then it went and only really came back the last 2 or 3 days. The daft thing is tho its only happening about 1-2 hours after taking the evening dose which i'm taking at 7pm to avoid sleep disturbances. Is there anyone else on here still on the zyban who could maybe advise me?
I dont wanna give in and the truth is i dont think i'm craving nicotine at all it just the hand to mouth habit and the routine. I read all ur tips about the water n stuff n i have found that helpful but the nausea is meaning i dont have much of an appetite at my weak times which always seems to be the evenings so i'm feeling increasingly frustrated cos thats normally when i'd snack to stop me thinking about cigs
I dont really wanna come off the zyban if i can help it cos it does seem to be helping with the anxiety and twitchiness that i've had in previous quit attempts.... havnt really had a single episode of tearfullness which has always got me previously.... I'm really much more chilled out this time if only i could do something about this damn nausea
well sorry about the moan feeling a bit down think its frustration cos i'm not sure wot to do but i'm still determined not to give in if i can help it and i diont wanna fail cos of some stupid side effect when mentally i'm in the right place cos i think the mental attitude is the biggest strenth in any quit and i finally found it!!

Keep going your doing great a lot of people say day three is hard My bad day was day four so maybe by the morning you will be Flying high HEHE
Some one I know who has give up years ago told me to try lemon jif just a little she said it stopped her crave. Must say she only told me a few days ago and glad to say havent had a crave to try it Things do get sooooo much better Good luck Lindaxxx
Although I can no longer take zyban and as aresult have started smoking again (But I WILL find something else to help me quit! ) I took it for almost 4 wks and found that the best time to take the eve dose was b4 6 o clock (usually 5ish)
This seemed not only to combat sleep difficulties but nausea as well. This means you have to take
the first dose around 9.am . Always make sure you have something to eat b4 hand I used to have a big bowl of cereal inthe am and my dinner at night. Also
try and drink at least a full glass of water with it. Hope this helps.

ps Do not be alarmed cos doc told me to stop the zyban. It wasn't cos of nausea or anything. This was due to an existing medical condition I have which in turn reacted with the zyban. Hence I had to stop.

Hi Dragonfly - You're right about the mental attitude - I felt a real mental shift this time and this has been my most sucessful quit ever. Hey and don't worry about moaning etc. that's what we're all here for - to moan to people who actually do really understand what it's like!!!
I too struggled more in the evening at first because I was more mentally and physically tired so I couldn't be bothered to go and do something to take my mind off it!!! Believe me, it really does pass - stick with us
Thankyou so much for your support and encouragement - it means such a lot to me and really gees me up
Kazza
