Yesterday my folks celebrated their ❤️50th wedding anniversary❤️ and I got an MRI to see if I'll need one kidney out and an adrenal gland removed that have a mass on them. I'll find out Monday morning. I already found out an ovary needs to be removed. It has a cyst on it. If they remove a kidney I will start dialysis. I'm truly not sure what this will mean for my need to have a transplant. I have an evaluation appointment at the end of the month. All of that is daunting but at least dialysis exists. I'm nervous and worried but I know there is no real sense in worrying so I've been keeping busy with school and work. I'm the Queen of hearts today because yesterday was a day of love. So thankful for it. Sorry I'm not more myself, just feel a little blah about it all. I'm trying to focus on being thankful for the little things. I think that will really help me in this journey. I just wanted to give you all an update. I'm back to schoolwork. This is the last week of class.
Queen of hearts: Yesterday my folks... - Kidney Dialysis
Queen of hearts
Oh HipHopQueen. These things are so sobering to hear. Yet you're level headed and clear minded. Your positive attitude will take you far. Dialysis truly is a treatment designed to keep you well and functioning. It's also a bridge to a transplant for many people. So keep on keeping on, HipHopQueen. You're a a go-getter - a transplant may well be in your future. Keep your eyes on the prize.
CONGRATULATIONS to your parents on their 50th wedding anniversary. How wonderful for the family to have such a loving relationship in their midst.
Sorry to hear about all your cysts, but I'm glad you found out about them and can get the necessary treatment. Dialysis is a life saver and will keep you healthy until you get on that transplant list.
Wishing you successful cyst removal, easy transition to dialysis if needed and a positive transplant evaluation.
Of course, you may not feel elated now, but we're all on a journey and there's always going to be rough spots in the road. So just adjust your crown and keep on going. We're all cheering for you.
Queen, it's been quiet around here without you. So glad you've checked in! It sounds like you have had a lot of health news to take in and make sense of. God bless you. It is a lot, but you are sporting the right attitude to deal with it all. One step at a time. It is so awesome your parents celebrated 50 years! My mom passed a month before she and my dad were to celebrate their 50th. Keep on keeping on and best of luck in youf studies!😃
I’m sorry to hear about your mom. Hugs and more hugs. Thank you for the luck in my studies. I need it. Lol.
Your majesty,Joy to your family as they celebrate the longevity of your parent's love. So sorry to hear about the cysts. Wait and see what happens. Although the wait is sometimes worse than the results. You may be able to do ok one kidney if there is enough function there. The good news is that getting on dialysis might expedite your transplant chances.
I agree, although I hate the thought of dialysis, I am very grateful it exists.
Takes care. Sending your good thoughts for a good outcome.
