Hello, I was wondering if any of you have experience with Jardiance? I am 46 years old and have a gfr of 27. I’ve known for about 7 years now. I loose about 3 ml a year. I try to stay active and eat right. I appreciate any information you have!

Jardiance and ckd

I've been on it for about 2 years now. It decreased my proteinuria a lot. I'm currently on a hold with it due to cardio issues and my cardiologist said to stop as it was hurting my kidneys. My neph is OK with it for now but wants me to get back on it as soon as I can, I'm seeing her in a few weeks so will see. My labs have either increased or decreased a bit in the right direction since my heart issue but no one will order the right UA for me to see how the protein is doing.
we trialled it for one month, but it did nothing. My husband has aGFR of 12-13, so it was really an experiment - advice is not to use it with a less than 20 GFR. At 27 I’d go for it, but watch for UTIs according to my doctors.
i tried it for cardio issues but had to be taken off due to it not helping, the trouble it gave my kidneys and the constant yeast infections, utis.everyones different so id read up on it before taking it
thanks.some people dont have too many problems so i may have just been one of the unlucky ones.research and question everything
I switched from Januvia to Jardiance about a year ago to help preserve kidney function. I had a transplant a little over 3 years ago but my kidney was damaged by tacrolimus. Now in Stage 3B. No real issues. When I get my routine labs my urine glucose is always greater than 500, but no yeast problems (I am a male - don’t know if that makes a difference).
