Drinking a small cup of instant coffee w/ chicory at the moment.
Chicory (Cichorium intybus) is an herb native to Europe and Asia.
It's also grown in the U.S. Chicory root contains inulin, a starchy substance. Chicory root has a mild laxative effect and decreases swelling. Chicory is a rich source of beta-carotene.

No. When I was first diagnosed 10 years back then coffee was thought to be harmful to kidneys but a few years later the doctors told me in was beneficial to kidney health.
Good info, thanks for sharing
If it does, I'm dead. I'll read the article anyway, but coffee is my best friend.
It's not the Coffee that damages the kidneys.. its what you put in it....sugar and cream...etc
I suggest an organic decaf that is processed with water not chemicals. The Organic Coffee Company on Amazon has very tasty and healthy beans.
I do love my coffee, but try and limit it to one a day, max two and always make sure to drink the same amount of water if fluids are not limited. Going to go have a cup now 🤭
Thank you so much for this, orangecity41! Very valuable and. helpful information. I didn’t know they also added phosphates to creamers. Also, I didn’t realize that coffee is counted as a part of fluid intake (all those years of hearing dieticians say that caffeinated beverages don’t count as a glass of water)! Lol!! 😊👍🙏
I'm not sure, but I hope not. Coffee is the most important meal of the day.
But coffee is a diuretic, so I would imagine that if you don't drink enough water, you'll also get dehydrated. I find that my bladder spasms a bit with too much coffee. I have no idea if kidney disease is related to that.
