I had a kidney transplant 5 months ago. I just had a crown break so

I will be having dental work shortly to fix it and any other issues.

I got a few cavities this year. I'm 62 and hadn't had any cavities since I was 13. I'm guessing it's from CKD impacts.

Hello, I was advised to have dental cleaning a three times a year when I was waiting for a kidney transplant. This was due to increased calcification on my teeth due to CKD. Since my transplant I've gone back to twice a year except during the pandemic I was lucky to get in once a year.

I also have calcification on my teeth, however my Dentist is not knowledgeable about dental and CKD relationship so I will be sending dentist copies of this article

I was also required to have whole mouth X-rays every year before I could get my dental clearance form signed before my transplant. Every year for four years!
