Hello all! It is currently 2am where I'm at, and this marks exactly 10 weeks since my transplant! A little update: my side effects are slowly improving, with insomnia only hitting me once to three times a week (and usually it isn't really major- today it is though). My tremors and hot flashes are daily, but I'm managing them well! Plastic or metal water bottles are my friend, and so is eating at a table to minimize food going everywhere except my plate. I keep a cool wash rag on the back of my neck which helps keep me cool as well. I'm still pretty moody, but that's partially from being on 3 rounds of antibiotics besides the maintenance Bactrim for C Diff and a sinus infection (×2), which has since cleared up. My levels are normal to just below normal, and my tacrolimus has stabilized. My creatine is 0.8-1.0! Energy wise, I have periods where I'm exhausted and need to sleep for extended periods of time, but the transplant team is attributing it to my complicated recovery period and the prednisone messing with my sleep patterns, so it should improve with time.
I'm taking it fairly easy given that I've been sick for the last 2 or so months. I do dedicated physical activity daily for about 15-20 minutes, and some of that is dedicated walking if I can manage it. The team wants me up and about, but not to push it. In 2 weeks I'll be able to start going places without wearing my mask! It's pretty exciting- especially since my mask makes my face super warm. Thanks for reading, and good luck to you all!

So glad your path to recovery is going fairly well. sounds like you have overcome some major bumps. Keep going and keep posting. You are a warrior and many are inspired by your strength.
Have you looked into Tai Chi? I had started working with you tube videos of Chair Yoga, but, since I had not exercised like this for quite a while, the pain afterward was difficult to deal with. I then found videos of Tai Chi and also ordered a couple of DVDs. What is nice is that you can do only a section at a time or as long as you feel able to do and build up your strength gradually. This might be helpful for you.
