I need help with loosing weight

Hi my name is teresa i hav put weight on in the last year cause i waz on steroids for 7 months and i also think that my medication i take dosent help i dont really eat anything i dont cook cause i dont see the point for 1 all i want to do is loose this extra weight i am usually thin so i am not used 2 bein big and it really does get me down.

    Later, one of the administrators will reply with a road map on how you can plan a healthy new lifestyle plus information on how to get the best from this forum.

    Personally I love cooking, even when its just for myself. A good reason is that you know exactly what is going into your food (less additives, preservatives, etc..), it will probably be cheaper than a ready made meal or eating out but probably more selfishly and importantly to me is that I can make things exactly how I like them.

    This forum is full of knowledgeable, friendly and helpful people so post your thoughts, questions and ideas and there will always be a helpful ear just a keyboard away.

    You won't be down for long as you take control of your life :)

  • Good morning Meggy_moos134 I bought my aunt a great book Sam stern too good to share. It is designed to cook a meal and use the left overs for another meal the next day.

    I would suggest always cooking enough to be able to put several meals in the freezer, to save time and effort. Home cooked meals are always going to be better for you and will taste nicer too :)

    Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you.

    Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news.

    Take a look at the NHS 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate.

    We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the HOME page, bottom on a mobile.

    Be aware, that the HU app doesn't give you access to all of our important features, so we advise that you use the full website page.

    We've found that to get the best out of this community, we need to be active on the forum, as it's where we exchange information, get motivation and inspiration and make friends. We hope that you'll join us here, regularly, too.
