Has Anyone on Tecfidera Received the COVID Vaccine?

Hello all!

My job is offering us the COVID vaccine, so I was wondering if anyone here has received the vaccine while on Tecfidera?

In addition to being on Tecfidera, I also have a medicinal allergy (allergic to all "-cillins": Amoxicillin, Penicillin, etc.). So, that throws another wrench in things because there is the possibility of a bad reaction when someone has a medicinal allergy.

I am waiting to get more details on which vaccine is being offered (Moderna, Pfizer, etc.), but in the meantime I'd love to know more about anyone's experiences/heard of any feedback for people who are on Tecfidera or have medicinal allergies.

I am on Ocrevus so I have my concerns as well.

I am going to ask my neurologist in February about the vaccine and let everyone know.

I am also on Ocrevus. I told my neurologist my concerns, he said get whatever vaccine I can get. I also asked a rep from Ocrevus about the vaccine and they could give me no information. I am waiting for more info.

I’m not on Tec, but my MD is recommending the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. I am either on ocrevus or Kesimpta ( still waiting for insurance).

I talked with my neurologist yesterday. She recommended the Moderna vaccine for me due to my extensive list of allergies.

I’ve been on Tec for a while. I’m currently 3 doses in and grateful.
