They have tried calling from various numbers today today so I called them back. The message first wants you to go online to do 'prepapproval to set up delivery of my Tecfidera as that is what the automated voice wants you to do when you call the insurance number back but the website is for crap so I called and they said they were just trying get in touch to update some info and let me know what was going on. When I asked what was going on with the delivery because I hadn't received anything and the website doesn't give any details of anything the guy I was talking to had to reach out to someone who had to reach out to someone else for me to talk to so I could schedule delivery and they will send it out it for delivery today to arrive tomorrow.
Talked to a pharmacist about my visit to my family doctor today and having to go on an antibiotic (don't know which one yet) and she said to let me know Neuro know because right now there is no known antibiotic that causes a problem with Tecfidera but because I have an infection there could cause a problem with the Tecfidera. Since my Neuro's office is closed, once I know what the antibiotic is I will either call tomorrow or send a message through the web portal since I seem to get faster results through there.
Will keep everyone updated. Been one fun thing after another today I tell ya...not!

if I said I can relate, would you think I've made this statement too many times already. Truth is most of us can relate. Glad you got things straightened out. Those prerecorded messages I get also do not apply to me either. Sometimes if you keep pressing "0" you'll get to bypass the rest and get straight to a "live" person. Way 2go!
I used them for Aubagio for about a year. After first delivery they called about 5 days before I ran out and had a different # and all I did was enter prescription # and agree to shipment date 🤷🏼♂️ It worked great 👍 now I am on a new one with Wallgreen Specialties and so far pain in the a..🤬 Next month I need to switch again as I start Medicare 🤷🏼♂️ The fun of insurance 🤬. Oh 💩, thanks for reminder, I am out in three days 🤔 I need to call tomorrow morning asap. 👍🙏🐾🐩 Ken
Some of these insurance companies are a real pain to deal with - either their website sucks, their phone system sucks, or their customer service is crappy. Express Scripts website is fine. Accrdo's part of the Express Scripts site is VERY lacking! And their phone system REALLY sucks but the people are really nice. Also, they don't do a 3 months supply for Tecfidera - only a one month supply at a time!! For a mail order company, I don't understand that one bit! Absolutely makes no sense to me one bit! Last company sent me 3 months supply every time I was do for refill. Guess every company is different.
The game we have to play with all insurance is a big pain in the butt! It can take hours on the phone and is so stressful, which is one of the worse thing for those of us with MS!! I used to also do it for my hubby, when the company that supplies his CPAP machine messed up, which is all the time! I finally told him I can't deal with that, he has to do it himself!!!
Yeah!!! Hope they arrive for you. My Copaxone is due to be delivered today and Nor'Easter #2 is revving up the snow right now in NYC, so hoping it will be able to get here!
bxrmom, I hate a day like that. When I first went on Avonex in 2004, it didn't come and didn't come. I finally call Express Scripts/Tricare and they said they sent it but they would send more since I didn't get it. Still, no meds. I was out walking my grandson one day and found two boxes addressed to me sitting on the porch of a run down house with no windows and only half a roof. Sometimes it's not the pharmacy, it's the delivery man. Who would live in a house with no windows and only half a roof.
MsGelfing1..oh my tell me not true....seriously delivered there....ordered a razor for Christmas for my husband and they sent 2, sent one back got one more...sometimes..technology and laws prohibit a lot..but thank goodness we got something...... it is true one day i kept pressing 0 and someone actually picked up on insurance!
Did your meds have the correct address on them? Sometimes you have to wonder about the mail carriers that are hired? Sometimes we don't get mail at all which is VERY rare for our household because we have 5 adults and one child that live here so SOMEONE always has mail and it usually a new mail person or someone who is covering a route that misses our street completely on a day.
Not medication related but one Christmas my grandma sent a package with a tracking number and it said it was delivered but I never received it. Went to post office and there it was. That day we had a sub delivery person and I think they forgot to deliver it so they just left it at the post office and marked it as delivered! And of course you see the storied on the news about the mail carriers dumping mail, burning mail, etc.
Bxrmom you can sign up on the USPS site to have pictures of the mail you will be getting emailed to you. At least you know what should be in the mailbox that day.
MsGelfling1 that is very eerie. Maybe the guy is a squatter? I always request that my Copaxone be delivered behind my gate, as we have had package thieves in the area. Mostly the UPS guy just puts it on the front steps but one day I actually find it behind the gate on my side steps! When I reviewed the video on my security camera I found out how the UPS guy delivered it - he threw it up and over the gate!!!!!!!! Wow. Luckily it is packaged so well that none of the syringes were harmed.
I really don't have to 'work' with them anymore as I now get texts to refill which I can do it that way or do it through my insurance website ❤ So glad I don't have to deal with them calling or me calling them anymore except if they want to check to see how I'm doing on my meds.
