Tecfidera

I was 60 and taking tecfidera. Found another neuro (script writer). I am 62 and still on it. The DMT's have not been out for very long to do age studies. The neuro's don't like prescribing because they cost a lot and liability is high. I like tecfidera. Been on it for 10 years.

I have taken Betaseron Tecfidera and now Ocrevus. I walk, bathe and perform most other functions. I do not drive, apart from down to the mailbox and hold on to a cart at the grocery store most of the time. There are far to many people rushing around that might knock ME over.

Over in the UK we aren't blessed with too much, but at the moment it is very fine :-) Anyhow, I moved over from Tecfidera to Ksimpta around 4 months ago after a particularly nasty relapse last year, and wondered if anyone else has done the same?

BACKGROUND: Dx in 2012 and on Tecfidera since 2013. No relapses since, thank God! But I have experienced some weird things -some recently and some for a long time now. [i]Read below - what do you think? anyone else experience these things? [/i] 1.

Anyone on Vumerity (Tecfidera generic)? I saw some older threads but nothing recent. Switching from Copaxone 40MG soon, which has been amazing for me, but skin needs a break. Any tips or things to be aware of when taking this? Really scared to make a switch.

Is tecfidera the only thing they try first in the US? I have had a few folks tell me Ocrevus.... But I honestly have no idea whether that would even be an option. Just curious what you all w

Been on Avonex, Rebif, Copaxone, Tecfidera, Vumerity, and Kesimpta. Each drug had its pros and cons, some side effects were more bearable than others. The Kesimpta, which I hoped would work for me, made me very sick and I stopped after six months.

They concurred with the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis but they recommended ocrevus over tecfidera. I admit to being a little freaked out about the whole getting sick situation while on a B cell depleter. Can any of you share your experience?

Generic tecfidera was called in to Walgreens. Two Rx's as you need to titrate up in dosage. First the app said it was out of stock. Then Walgreens cancelled the 240 mg RX and now it says problem with insurance. I called and the person on the other end of the phone was rude and not helpful.

Somebody asked about Tecfidera, but I lost the message. Entirely my fault and I am sorry. So a quick summary. Been on it for 15 or so years, and never any side effects. Easy to use and convenient.

And Neuro says: Stable lymphocytes :)3 months ago, my numbers were on the low side so she said I have to get bloodwork done every 3 months instead of 6 months because my numbers were always going up and down. Today was bloodwork day and my numbers were good :) Don't have to take a break from my meds

I have another phone consultation tomorrow with nurse when I will probably be put onto Tecfidera!! All this without actually seeing anyone. Hey ho,! I’m really a bit worried about starting these…..

Dimethyl Fumarate (Generic for Tecfidera) costs $15.08 vs over $2,000! I am going to talk to my Neuro in Dec about this as the insurance copay restarts in Jan and I know the first time I fill my rx in the beginning of the year is super high. https://costplusdrugs.com/

Hello, I have just recently been diagnosed with MS. my doctor has tasked me with researching and choosing what medication i want to start with from a list. that list is Tecfidera, Vumerity, Aubagio and Ocrevus. I was hoping for insight from people who have taken these meds.

I just found out that my insurance company is refusing to renew my Vumerity perscription and is forcing me to take the generic of Tecfidera. (also found out is it's a literal no name drug as it goes by 'generic Tecfidera' in every post!)

Anybody have any experience with Tecfidera. Aubagio isn't working for me.

I plan on being buried with some Tecfidera, Just to remind me. There is NO vacation, Relapsing-Remitting ms (RRms) does NOT take time off, have a vacation and neither will I, and NEITHER SHOULD YOU. Vacations are for other people not for us.
