SEIZURES OR CLONIC TONIC SPASMS

Does anyone out there with MS have seizures or clonic tonic spasms? I have had them for years off and on and there seems to be no rhyme nor reason for them. I take anti-seizure meds and I can go months without and suddenly have them daily, nightly for a week or two. Then none for months. Can anyone relate?????

Tupam I have had them infrequently at random times (most of my life), usually when I am seated or lying down. Yours sound more frequent than mine. I comiserate: they are VERY annoying when they cause me to kick something or someone, spill or drop something.

The drug Ampyra for helping walking speed (popular with those of us who have MS) has shown some effect on having seizures. In fact, the drug company says not to take Ampyra if you've ever (!!!!) had a seizure. I've had one set of seizures years after I had a Traumatic Brain Injury.

I've had 2 grand mals and take an anti-seizure med twice daily. I refuse to stop taking the med. even tho' I haven't had any more seizures for years, for which I attribute to taking the meds.

i have been on keppra twice a day for years. i don't like to call them seizures - it's very weird - i can feel it's going to happen, i get scared and it's over in 30 seconds. you wouldn't know it's happening if i didn't say so. but i didn't have them before ms. maybe it happens once a month.
