Daughter has Cancer

I told you that my dog had surgery Friday morning, but my day went downhill from there fast. Emily, my oldest daughter and my best friend in the world, was diagnosed with cervical cancer that day. It was caught early we think. She was leaving for a cruise to Alaska on Saturday and when she gets home, she will have surgery. Will you please keep her in your thoughts and prayers? I’m rather shocked. I have been through cancer with my oldest son about 15 years ago, but I swear this is different. I was right there with him and I could visit every day. Thank you so much. She is only 42 and in perfect shape. Not an ounce of fat, exercises, plays tennis 5 times a week. It’s so unexpected, of course. Thank you.

Amore..my heart sunk. im sorry for the extras in life...but i also feel that great love you have that will overcome all. ive heard many health in the "young" ones of today. A friend, marathon runner, case worker etc totally fit but same cancer...i will say because of being healthy lifestyle and attitude of this agegroup...it seems recovery quicker. Trauma is trauma...she is fine now...and back to running with a new attitude and watchfulness.Very wise to take that cruise. just wish you could go!We are here and send our love...im sorry didnt hear about your pup..send me a chat pls. Oh, no! Seeing your kid go through very hard times is one of the most difficult and heartbreaking things there is. Thank God they caught it early! I hope the treatment isn't too awful. I do think that the fact that she's fit, healthy, and relatively young will help her heal faster. And having a loving, caring mother will go a long way, Kelly! Dear Kelly, I’m so sorry about your daughter. I have a son going through cancer treatments. I know how scary that is for you, and your family. I have have two friends who had cervical cancer and are still doing great 20 years later. Catching it early is a real blessing. I will keep you and your daughter in my prayers. I have a catholic friend who I will ask to light a candle for her at church on Saturday. I hope your dog is doing ok. They are always so comforting in these stressful times. 🙏🙏🙏

What a shock! I certainly hope they caught it early. Fortunately, in this day and age, cancers have a better chance at recovery. Saying that, it sure is something you don't want to hear about for yourself and loved ones! I pray she has a wonderful, relaxing cruise without worry. There is enough of that at home waiting for her. My prayers are for the entire family. It seems when one person has it, the entire family does.

-Mark 5:34

Jesus said her faith caused the cure. Genuine faith involves action. Faith that isn’t put into action is not faith at all.
