An unfortunate truth or a reality check

An unfortunate truth or a reality check, it is your choice, my friend. I do not like to admit it as it as this affects me as well. For years I hoped I was in that tiny group that has a benign form of ms. I had it, but it was never going to go anywhere. I did lots of things I thought were right. My diet changed, I took my Disease Modifying Therapy(DMT) which I hated. I went to the gym, exercised hung out with the trees, but. My Magnetic Resonance Images(mri's) still showed activity, ms was playing its games with me.

This my friends is the reality of our condition. No matter what we do to stop it, the best that happens is that we slow its activities a little. Not nice to realize but that is our reality. "YOU" may start with a very active form then slow down over time. "YOU" may slowly get worse over the years. I actually can say that if "YOU" are smart and try hard "YOU" can go a little backwards. I do not know how frequent this is, but she who must be obeyed has gone from a wheelchair to being the household driver. Though she does need directions, maybe that is me being a nag I am not sure.

There always is hope, just be realistic about that hope and give it time. Not a day a week or even months. Give it time, and if "YOU" do not get something back be at ease with yourself about that. I miss terribly. rock hard, reliable erections, but I am at ease with that. Far from happy, but at ease. Relapsing-Remitting ms(RRms) is mine to have; there is NO CURE, but there truly is no reason to have pity in yourself. Others may pity us, but we must be at ease with our condition. Never happy or willing to totally succumb to it, but at ease with it.

Do not worry it takes time, just hold that thought in your mind. It will come and "YOU" will be much happier and at ease with your ms journey and your life. Then "YOU" can learn to pass that ease onto others.
