I have just gotten into a new relationship, that is long distance because she is at uni. However, I constantly have intrusive thoughts about her cheating on me or her past....thus I constantly bombard her with question to which she has been amazing at answering and is very understanding. These thoughts and that really get me down, to the point where I loose sleep and don't eat.

I am looking for some tips on how to best deal and control these thoughts and maintain my health at a decent level, rather than causing the demise of a relationship.

Sorry to here you are struggling . Firstly relationships are hard and long distance is even harder then adding on ocd intrusive thoughts is not easy so give yourself some credit . It’s nice to here your partner is supportive . I’m new to ocd and intrusive thoughts and awaiting on treatment however I can tell you that they do pass and remember the content of them does not mean anything at all., it attaches to what we love the most and in your case it’s your relationship however we both know tomorrow it could be something else. I guess moving forward all you can do is take care of yourself and when you recognise your not doing that , you need to do more of it and speak up to your partner and others. If we can’t maintain our health ( mentally and physically) then we can’t be expected to succeed in anything else .. in your case a relationship. Hope this helps
