Zurich critical illness cover

My partner has recently been diagnosed with ET (JAK2+).

We have a critical illness policy with Zurich and made a claim a few weeks ago.

They seem to be delaying somewhat and we are wondering if they are planning to pay out only a smaller payment rather than the full amount insured as they’ve said that a senior assessor will call to discuss the amount.

Has anyone else had any dealings with Zurich over critical illness claims partial payments?

Any help gratefully received .

Thanks

I have a policy with them. They wouldn’t cover me with critical illness. I would check your policy, you should be entitled to their claim if they took the policy out before they were diagnosed.

Have the received your doctors report. We had a policy with another provider & the delay was the report went missing somewhere in the system. Worth checking.
