Critical Illness Life Insurance

I was told by another member that we can now claim on any Critical Illness Life Cover we may have. I thought I had this and looked into it - only to find that I have Terminal Illness Life Cover! Does anyone else have any experience of this?

I looked into all my policies and found out I only have terminal illness life cover. On all of my ones, they will only pay out if you have a minimum of 12 months to live or on death because critical illness life cover is different to terminal illness life cover.

I have been paying into a Positive Care plan at work, it covers all types of Cancers. Should I make a claim as I have ET.
